We are delighted to present to you version 1.8.8 of Dastra!
This version comes with a set of useful adjustments and small new features designed to enhance your everyday experience.
As always, we took this opportunity to fix several bugs and refine the interface where necessary.
Here are the details 👇
🔥 Notable Change
- Renaming of the contract module to 'Contract and Policy Register.' We found that this module perfectly served the management of policies. Therefore, we aimed to make this module more inclusive by assigning a generic document category: contract, policy, procedure, or other.
🚀 New Features
Request processing interface: The dispatching system for requests has undergone a major overhaul to improve usability and clarity in the process.
The interface is now more intuitive and ensures better separation of responsibilities between those in charge of managing requests and those responsible for implementing them in the information system. With this new feature, asset managers containing datasets related to the concerned person are directly notified and have a secure link allowing them to transmit the requested data, deletion proofs, or any other required element for processing the request.
Metadata generation for policies/contracts from file upload: Keeping the contract register has become a breeze. You can now directly submit the document, and Dastra takes care of the rest: populating the document title, tags, description, and custom fields. All metadata for your contract is automatically populated based on the information present in the document.
To access this feature:
- Go to the contracts & policies module
- Click on 'Create a document'
Policy/contract generation from a prompt: You can now generate an editable document from a prompt with different contextual information. To generate this type of document.
Post Mortem generation with AI: You can now generate the post mortem of your incidents directly in Dastra.
✨ Improvements
- Message read tracking system for requests: Messages for requests are no longer marked as read when entering the request card. There are now two options: manually mark the message as read or respond directly to the user. It is even possible to mark the message as unread afterwards in the user message toolbar.
- Addition of a user ownership concept to the organizational unit: You now have the option to assign a Dastra user as the owner of the organizational unit. This option is accessible from the organizational unit management interface and allows automated workflow actions to be directed at this user (only for functionalities where the organizational unit is configurable).
- Improvement of the internal search engine: The search engine now allows direct access to internal application pages, in addition to the already supported items and documentation. The display of results has also been enriched to provide more context and facilitate navigation.
- Requests / addition of a closure reason: other recipient (in case the request needs to be addressed to another data controller)
- Download of all attachments of a request in zip format
- Removal of internal access link in the PDF export of a processing sheet
- Duplication of a processing: maintains the assignment of a user who has not accepted their invitation
- Freshness recalculation on deadlines: possibility to recalculate freshness when changing the freshness deadlines
- Purpose library in the processing register: addition of a filter by processing
- Logs: Addition of logging for the deletion of organizational units
🐞 Bugs and Fixes
- Attachment downloads in the Privacy Hub that were not functioning correctly
